Workshop on Sustainability and Exit Planning for Farmers and Fisherfolk Associations

On December 16–17, 2025, the WEE-SAFE Project conducted a Workshop on Sustainability and Exit Planning for Farmers and Fisherfolk Associations in Lamitan City at Nalamar Restaurant to prepare partner associations for long-term sustainability as the project nears its conclusion. Participants were oriented on organizational, financial, and community strategies, drafted their sustainability and exit plans, and received feedback to strengthen readiness for independent operation. Enterprise, vegetable, and rubber groups showed strong preparedness, while fishery and coconut groups were guided to clarify strategies and pursue modernization.

An open forum addressed post-project continuity, support access, and member inclusion. The activity concluded with participants expressing gratitude for the skills, knowledge, and resources gained. The workshop affirmed that WEE-SAFE successfully strengthened associations and laid a foundation for sustainable operations and replication in other municipalities.
