Kasanyangan Institutions was honored to participate in the International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF) Foundation Mutual Microinsurance Network Seminar, hosted by CARD Mutual Benefit Association, held at AIM Conference Center in Makati City, Philippines.
With the theme, “Replicating Success Globally: Scaling the Mutual Microinsurance Model for the Poorest,” the seminar gathered mutual microinsurance practitioners to exchange knowledge and advance sustainable solutions for protecting low-income communities.

Learning and sharing insights with fellow leaders and practitioners at Mindanao Microfinance Conference 2026, Leading Through Crisis: Strengthening People, Systems, and Culture in a Changing Microfinance Landscape, held on June 10-11, 2026, in Cagayan de Oro City.
Representing our institution, our President and MMC Board Vice President, Ms. Mercedes G. Faustino delivered a presentation on leadership, resilience, and adapting to the changing realities of the microfinance sector. Joining her were members of our team who actively participated in the conference sessions and discussions.
The conference provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from industry peers, and explore ways to strengthen our people, systems, and culture in support of the communities we serve.

MiMAP marked its 21st anniversary on March 12, 2026, at the Asian Institute of Management. The day began with the final Board meeting of the incumbent Trustees, followed by the Annual General Assembly where members approved the 2026 plans, budget, key targets, amendments to the By-laws, and elected the new Board of Trustees for 2026–2027.
Also present was Reynaldo A. Regalado, Insurance Commissioner, whose message encouraged the continued advancement of microinsurance, and who administered the oath-taking of the newly elected Board.
We are proud to share that our President, Ms. Mercedes G. Faustino, attended the General Assembly and was re-elected as a member of the Board of Trustees for 2026–2027.

The KMFI team attended the MCPI Annual Conference held on July 30–31, 2025, at Century Park Hotel, Manila. The event gathered key microfinance stakeholders to discuss vital developments and issues shaping the sector.
With the theme “Microfinance and Sustainable Finance for the Poor,” the conference emphasized the crucial role of microfinance in helping communities build assets, increase income, and become more resilient against the impacts of climate change.
KMFI President and CEO Ms. Mercy Faustino served as one of the resource speakers, sharing valuable insights on fraud prevention and restoring clients’ trust — reinforcing KMFI’s strong commitment to transparency and client protection.
The KMFI President & CEO, together with the MIS Officer, are participating in the MiDAS Training at the ADB Building, Mandaluyong City.
This training focuses on understanding the system’s overall workflow, highlights key data for smarter decision-making, and introduces new updates on API integrations and enhanced Fraud Protection features, gearing us toward a more secure and data-driven future.
