A powerful step toward environmental stewardship was made as MENRO Ipil, represented by Mr. Felix Badon, partnered with KMFI, led by President & CEO, Mercedes G. Faustino, and KERDFI President, Edgardo F. Faustino. Together, they formalized the adoption of a 3-hectare mangrove area in Barangay Makilas, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.
This milestone goes beyond a ceremonial signing, it signals the start of a unified, purpose-driven collaboration with LGU Ipil to protect vital ecosystems, restore mangrove forests, and strengthen coastal resilience. Rooted in community participation, the initiative aims to cultivate healthier shorelines while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities and fostering long-term, inclusive development.
